THE PRESLEY FOUR

It happened on the day, June 26, 1979

The four Presleys are together one more time.

Yes, Vernon left on this day to join his family,

The circle is complete again for our beloved
ELVIS PRESLEY.

The angels have joined their voices in song

Welcoming “Daddy Presley” to his new home,

The leader of them, the most beautiful voice of all,

Is singing “Welcome Daddy” we’re glad you answered HIS call.

Mama and Jesse have waited so long for you,

But years for me have not quite been two.

Forty-four years ago we were four—

Then there were three, two, one—now no more.

This is true only on earth,

For now we are as we were at my birth.

Today it is so once more

We are again the PRESLEY FOUR.

Lisa Marie, my beloved, precious daughter,

Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Jesse and Daddy have crossed the holy water.

Always be good, but be humble as well as proud

And know that Daddy watches over you from above the silvery clouds.

And though we have left your sight

We are still with you day and night.

Say your Prayers and remember our GOD,

For one day you too, shall walk with Daddy here on Holy Sod.
