Graceland

Graceland is where he went to get away from it all,

She gave him protection behind her great walls.

Graceland gave him peace as through her gardens he would stroll

Whether in the summer breezes or when the winds blew cold.

Graceland is the home he loves, the place he was proud to show

And when the winter came,
very often you could see him playing in the snow.

At Christmas time he dressed her with multicolored lights

And on her front lawn was the manger
and the Christ Child with His halo so bright.

Graceland is where he brought his only child after her birth,

For Graceland was lovingly filled with merriment and mirth,

Welcoming the "Princess" to the home he loved so

Opening her arms to all, so the King's love could show.

When he left Graceland to tour the Promise Land,

Graceland, he left to his "Princess" so she would be in good hands;

He wanted the two to be together - to be close,

For at the time he left us - they were the two he loved most.

Yes, the two that could fill him with joy and glee

Were his home - Graceland,
and his daughter - LISA MARIE.
