HE WAS ONLY A DREAM

A long, long time ago
there was a beautiful man
Who held the world in the
palms of his hands

A face so perfect
With eyes so genteel
His touch was like velvet
His smile had such appeal.

Some said his heart was made of pure gold
Some said he would never grow old
Some said he was only a dream
Some said he was the devil's scheme.

He proved some wrong, he proved some right
But through all things said, he continued his plight
To sing his songs in a voice so clear
That the world stopped, listened and stood up to cheer.

No he will never grow old, but he will always reign supreme
And looking back, it is no wonder, some think he was only a dream.

I miss you so much my beloved friend.
